Michael J Lewis is a motivational teacher on the
topic of leadership and management. His research is vast, his passion is contagious and his ideas can be used the very next
day. He has learnt a great amount about leadership both in theory and practice.
Currently working towards his Doctorate in Education
at the University of Exeter and a Graduate Diploma in Middle Level Leadership at Swansea Metropolitan University.
He has
gained a Masters in Education, Leadership and Management at the Open University and a Masters in Science, Educational Studies
at the University of Exeter.
He gained a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (teacher training) at Swansea Metropolitan
University after his BSc at the University of Glamorgan in Physical Geography and Sports Sciences.
Personal interests have led
him to gain his Mountain Leaders Award, Level 3 Kayak Coach, White Water Rescue and Safety, National Pool Life Guard Qualification
and First Aid trained.
Throughout University he ran his first business in the gardening industry employing four full time members
of staff. This was sold to further his career in teaching and pay for his training. He became acting
Head of Geography straight from University in Swansea before moving to Barry to become head of a larger department. He is also involved
with the operations of a successful charity (www.lifecardiff.org and www.lovecardiff.org).
